One of those days...
Someone sent me this picture yesterday & I laughed so hard. Then, of course, being the good friend that I am I sent it on to everyone I knew. The initial picture I received was not a still, but a "moving" picture with the gun on automatic. Bam Bam Bam BamIt really is quite funny. The caption that goes with it was "One of those days..."
I then filed it away for future use, not realizing that I could use it the next day!
People that know me, know that I have my own company - therefore I have a website. I went with a major, huge, nationwide company to host this website thinking the bigger the better! Figuring that since this company was so big, they would have the latest, cutting edge technology to protect me & mine. The best that the business has to offer, etc.
Yeah, they have the technology - but what happened when my site was hacked this morning? Nothing. They found it right away & then watched it to try to trace the hacker.
Did they notify me or my office? NOooooo.
Did they send an email as warning? NOooooo
I called the huge mega corporation to find out what was wrong with my website & then was told that my website was compromised. You mean hacked?! Well, yeah.
Did they actually find the hacker? NOooooo
Did they save the website? NOoooo
By this time, I have picture of a cute kitty in my head. Bam Bam Bam Bam
I now have to reload the website from scratch due to some stupid, nitwitted, idiot computer savant that decided my website was just the place to go this morning.
Kitty.... Bam Bam Bam Bam
My software is not the current release - we have to update software & hope the code is compatible. Please Please Please let it be compatible. I can't wait "2 weeks" for repairs.
(computer lingo: 2 weeks equals when hell freezes over).
Please let it be compatible...
Please...
You don't want me to send the kitty...do you?!

The "Fairytale Ending"
All who know me, know that I love the movies. I love new movies, old movies, black & white, B movies, C movies and some that are so bad they go quietly direct to the bottom shelf in the video store. Movie snobs would say that I am (insert loud echoing stentorian tone) NOT A TRUE MOVIE BUFF, because I don't really see all the "AWARD WINNING "Meaningful" Movies".
I say, "So what! Who cares? !"
I go to the movie theater for the entertainment. I go there to meditate, to get to know myself and those that move about me in my life. Movies are my escape from reality. People need to learn to let go of the real world & watch a movie where the good guys win. Why would I go to a movie where there is so much crying going on that you can't hear the movie? I get that every day in the real world - that is not entertainment. Give me the fairy tales, good bad & all movies in-between. Forget the fables with the didactic ending? Who wants to leave a theater thinking that the next move they have to make is to go tree sitting for a year?!
Cut the tree down, build a movie theater for escapists like me.
Give me the old movies, Stewart Granger, Greer Garson, William Powell, Myrna Loy, Van Johnson, Bob Hope. Who can't help feeling good after watching Bob Hope? After watching William Powell & Myrna Loy and their witicisms. Go see Hello Dolly again - see if you can't help but smile! Go watch Gone with the Wind - but you must finish it off with Scarlett for the happy ending. Go back to Abbott & Costello - they are hilarious. You can't help but smile & laugh.
Don't get me wrong. There are some great movies that are tear jerkers... thrillers.... mysteries.... but you have to finish it off with the good guys winning or at least on the winning end, with the scales tipped toward good. I can get through another day being positive in a negative world. I can smile thinking about how the good guys will ALWAYS win.
"I have my prince, my little princesses and two guard dogs to watch over our castle. "
Give me the Cinderella ending every time!
