I feel maybe I should explain my quotes. The first is by a man we are all familiar with. Winston Churchill - a wise man (not my wise brother). I have had hell in my life at times and when all is dark and rotting - there is nothing else to do but continue and keep on going.
No need to stop and stay in hell, keep on going and the light will shine again.
The light at the end of the tunnel (somewhat like your tunnels, dad) always shines, but sometimes that light gets a little dim. Keep on going and the light will brighten.
The other quote...well that that been posted on my computer for almost 13 years now. Ya see, when I was setting up the business & needed passwords and passcodes for just about everything; my husband (the wonderfully, intelligent Big Bad Billy) whispered his own secret
passcode to me. He said that if he called or sent word, then I would have to respond with. "The moon...".
I have not had to use it yet, but I am ready. I sometimes wonder about Martha, though. And why she would be having tea with a baboon.

If you are going through hell, keep on going.

The moon is blue in Texas.
Yes, but the baboon is having tea with Martha.
