Office Politics
Personally, I cannot stand the day to day dealings with co-workers! I love the comraderie. I enjoy the envigorating, thought provoking conversations. But once they start with the backstabbing, lying, conniving ways of "OFFICE POLITICS", I give up.
(pronounced in loud, authoritative, booming voice..."OFFICE POLITICS".)
Oh brother!
This is a small office of 7-10 women. Small company with 2 owners. Why in the world would an employee be so stupid as to play that silly game? It's not like one is going to "get ahead" of another. We all do the same job, we all know each others secrets. Why in the world would they play the game? Does one person really think that they will be better off by damaging anothers reputation or work ethics?
Get real!
Why muddy the waters in our own little pond? Why can't everyone just get along and realize it is us against the world? It's like they are fighting for their place in the pack even after they are already in a good position. Petted and stroked and reassured of their place in the pack to the point where I am so tired of telling them what a good job they are doing.
Do your job & let it go.
End of day - walk away.
Be proud of the good job you are doing, stop looking & asking for petty reassurance.
Why these stupid, childish games?! I guess every time I bring the human element into it, it will always be the struggle for placement in the pack. I just get really tired of having to deal with it. What I wouldn't give to have an 8-5 and walk away. No stress. No worries. Do a good job & go home to my family.
