A lesson I learned from my dad
My dad is one of the greatest men in my life. Always a figurehead of the family, always strong. Many lessons in life are learned by watching our parents (and siblings) and seeing how they react to situations. Many years ago, my father had a business deal go bad or "went south". Sometimes things don't work out no matter how much you want them to work. His was property that he just had to walk away from - he realized that enough was enough. No need to throw more money, time and effort into a project that just didn't fit. There is nothing personal in it, it just wasn't going to go the way he wanted it to go.
That was a lesson that comes to me in a daily basis now - my business is "going south" and there is not much I can do. I haven't thrown in the towel yet, but I am sure wiping a lot of sweat with this towel!
It has been a great ride, but for almost 20 months now it has been a downward slide.
Almost time to face the music.
Almost time to wave adios to a good time had by all.
Rant and ride almost over.

Sis,
Is there anything I can do to help? I'm really worried about your business and the office politics getting you down. Love, M

Nothing to do but watch it sink - while holding corona in one hand & waving with another. Of course, I could always fire everybody - work my own butt off & try to remain afloat. I have no problems with that - but don't think business partner thinks the same. Dif'rent wavelengths. Thanks anyway.
