You would be amazed at how many people do "double takes" when they see a bald woman.
I wear my bandana's (or scarves) and a baseball type hat.
When I am on the ball field, I pull the hood of my jacked up & no one would be the wiser. BUT if I get hot, I pull all off & go bareheaded. It seems many people don't like that. I don't do it often, usually only at home or in the car - BUT the looks I get are hilarious. I feel like I should stick my tongue out at them. I don't mind the stares, but the funny looks make me laugh. The little ones are the best - they just come up & say I look funny without hair.
I tell them I look funnier with hair.
It is only for a few months more & I can grow hair....yahoo.
I feel by xmas, it will be long enough to comb, or style.
That would be a nice birthday present, I think.
I just am afraid at how much white will show! yucka.

I have a very good friend that is just starting her chemo this week & I have been talking to her a lot. My prayers are with you Sonia. You go girl!

I can say that I have the greatest kids - not once have they asked me to wait or not come to a game or school event because they were embarrassed by the bald lady.
They encourage me and give me heart when I get low.
My husband is one in a billion. May I never let him down.
My family is my strength. And not just my husband and kids, my brothers and their families are the best. I do wish we were all closer so we could visit and play with the kids. Free babysitting.
Time moves too fast and the days are flying by.

Be thankful for each day and give love freely.
I say I love you at least a dozen times a day & I mean it each time.
I love you my family. Thank you for taking care of me.
We are half way thru this. Two more surgeries and we should be done with this mess. One more in a couple weeks & the second next year sometime. Almost done. Only 3 more chemos.....wahoo.
The light at the end of the tunnel is growing brighter every day.
I am hoping it is a bar.
